SPD-1: Specialty Name (ST)

Definition: Identifies the provider’s specialty.

SPD-2: Governing Board (ST)

Definition: Identifies the governing body providing for the specialty.

SPD-3: Eligible or Certified (ID)

Definition: Specifies the certification status. Refer to HL7 Table 0337 – Certification Status for valid values.

SPD-4: Date of Certification (DT)

Definition: Specifies when certification occurred.
